

The traditional Chinese medicine extract spray dryer, developed by absorbing foreign technology, is a drying equipment suitable for traditional Chinese medicine products with low melting points and high sugar content. It features non-stick walls, no material coking, and low moisture absorption. The device determines the spray drying process conditions based on the characteristics and properties of the dried products, with high automation, convenient operation, and compliance with GMP requirements. The successful development of this device has solved the technical difficulties that have prevented the use of spray drying for many traditional Chinese medicine products with low melting points and high sugar content over the years, and represents a new development in the research of spray drying application technology in traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceuticals.

After passing through the air filter, the air enters the air heater. When the air heater reaches a given temperature, the air enters the hot air distributor in a tangential direction. The air, after being acted upon by the hot air distributor, enters the drying chamber uniformly and spirally. Simultaneously, the material liquid is atomized by the atomizer into droplets of 20~60um. Upon contact with the hot air, the droplets quickly vaporize and dry into powder or granular products. The products are directly collected by a cyclone separator and pneumatically transported to the effective material bin, completing the cooling and conveying of the material. The exhaust gas is discharged from the fan outlet through a water mist dust collector.
